1st in the 2020 Midwestern & Pacific Coast Synchronized Skating Sectional Championships

The Stars of Austin Figure Skating Club's synchronized skating team Austintatious Stars placed FIRST in their appearance at the U.S. Figure Skating Midwestern & Pacific Coast Synchronized Skating Sectional Championships.

The adult synchronized skating team beat out five teams to secure the Gold Medal. The Austintatious Stars, who were one of two teams from Texas, skated a free skate program that received first place standings in their division throughout the midwest. The competitive adult figure skating team consists of ten figure skaters, including coaches Dawn Dudley, Cathryn Tremewan, and Carly Tremewan.

"10 ladies... 10 buns... and 20 blades... That is what it takes to be a top medalist."

Let this be a lesson to any young child playing sports or adult pursuing a passion. You may not have the best facility, the best equipment, or all the time you ever need to practice, but with a lot of hard work and dedication, and even more hard work, you can accomplish anything. David literally took down Goliath in Wichita this weekend. While it may not seem like much to those who don't understand Synchronized Figure Skating... FIRST place at this event is a pretty huge deal for this little team from Austin, Texas. Congratulations ladies!
